Throughout the summer, the group has been working towards the next phase of the Bangura Project. Since Usifu’s return from his reunion in Sierra Leone – and his delivery of health, education, and energy supplies – the organization has been processing the information collected. The development needs and opportunities, as well as the resources available, have been analyzed as the organization plots the next steps in the journey. The announcement of our next project will be coming soon.
In the meantime, the Bangura Project has officially been incorporated as a public benefit corporation in Montana, and we are in the process of acquiring 501(c)(3) status. We’ve even created a new logo!
In other exciting news, the Bangura Project will have its very own website in September, thanks to the generous help of a local web developer company, Axiom IT Solutions. We’re looking forward to being able to share it with everyone to keep up with the progress we continue to make.
In the meantime, stay tuned for upcoming announcements as we move towards supporting the sustainable development of Kambia!
